In the Fall of 2003, as part of the Parsons lecture series, Ackert Architecture was asked to design an exhibition to accompany a talk entitled "Bending Light: The Work of Ackert Architecture". The installation design was based on concepts of how light can be manipulated through use of materials and geometry. Partitions constructed of both reflective and transluscent materials formed a small enclosure similar to an interior courtyard space which both enhanced and mutated natural light emanating from the south facing windows of the lobby space.
